The other only has 2000 miles on the truck and had issues with the tunes but nothing related to the transmission. One has no issues and has been deleted on his lifted truck for about 25k miles now. I only know 2 people personally that have deleted 68rfe trucks. I see that the Suncoast kit goes for about $5600 but what I don't know is how much more would the labor be to install it? What other expenses need to be factored in with doing a rebuild/swap? They are however an installer for Suncoast. ![]() I called a local transmission shop and was told they don't work on 68rfe unless the truck is stock. Most trailers were in the 9-10k pound range but one was almost 12k. I do not currently tow heavy, but do plan on purchasing either a 5th wheel or travel trailer in the near future. This truck will never see a drag strip but I don't want to feel like I can't get on the throttle when I want to either. I don't have any plans for boosted launches or burnouts or anything else or the sorts. I have 35s now and don't plan on going any larger maybe 37s if I do a level kit but even then probably not. ![]() If I wind up deleting I do not plan on doing anything more than a light tow tune. I've read enough about how that trans won't last under a delete and tune that I've decided to budget for a transmission rebuild when factoring in wether or not to delete my truck. I have a 20 which obviously has the 68rfe transmission in it. I have zero knowledge about transmissions, torque converters, etc. ![]() Ive been going back and forth deciding wether or not to delete my truck.
